Welcome to my website!

My name is Kristin McKee. I am 26 years old and live in Chicago, IL. I graduated from Roosevelt University in 2021, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies. My interests lie heavily in digital media including photography, videography, social media, and publication/web design.

Much of my experience stems from my college coursework as well as my roles at Roosevelt's newspaper, The Torch. These roles include staff reporter, multimedia and digital content editor, and section editor. I have also interned for the Illinois Journalism Education Association in their communications department. 

I am currently a civic editor and reporter for the Harvey World Herald, a hyperlocal, independent news source based in Harvey, IL. My areas of focus include Harvey's arts and culture scene as well as education and youth.
